How can we email you or call you ?

My husband is filing now but I had a question.

He has a blood clot which has not gone away in three years and caused four hospital and ER stays.....a heart attack and conditions of other kinds due to this and other injuries from work. As he had the last hospital stay and home for a month..he returned to work planning to begin the filing for Disability.
We have no other income. He was laid off and so he is allowed unemployment checks again, we have no other income and even with this it is not enought to pay bills and it is not an income for working ...so how do we stop getting the unemployment while filing and survive or is it ok to explain to SSI that the two occured at the same time.

Hi Elizabeth,

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's health conditions. Your questions are a little too technical for me as my expertise is on the medical issues of disability claims. I suggest you contact an attorney who specializes in Social Security disability. A good place to start would be to go to the website

www.NOSSCR.org

Best wishes to you and your husband.

Hi Ms. Melgoza. There are too many variables that come into play regarding your situation that I know nothing about; therefore, I am unable to answer your questions. There are no statistics on your disease regarding Social Security disability that I have access to. I suggest you speak with an attorney who is experienced in Social Security disability law. Best wishes to you.
